Head Teacher’s Welcome

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Tarbiyyah School website!

Tarbiyyah is a registered independent school in west London, where children are nurtured to develop upright character, combined with high academic ambitions, to actively prepare them for life in modern, British society.

Our aim is to cultivate children with the knowledge and life skills required to become positive contributors and examples of excellence in their communities.

We continually strive to achieve this by:-

Providing our children with a broad, balanced, holistic and relevant curriculum that implements diverse teaching methods, combining authentic Islamic Education based upon the Qur’an and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wasalaam).

Teachers and staff using and instilling the correct tarbiyyah within children to support and nurture the development of a truly Islamic personality, based on the principles of: Wellbeing (self-awareness, self-esteem, self-confidence), moral responsibility, uprightness, respect and tolerance. Thereby, enabling the children to acquire an appreciation and respect for their own and other cultures, and to contribute positively to their community and society, while confidently meeting any challenges.

Encouraging and supporting teachers, parents, carers, guardians and the community to collaborate and work together with us to contribute positively to the children’s education and well-being.

Providing children with a broad general knowledge of public institutions and services which will help them to become aware of and understand other cultures and traditions, thereby promoting tolerance and coherence.

Our Schools Core values, devised by the pupils, encompass what we work towards. These values are:

  •    We respect ourselves, others and our environment as all life comes from Allah
  •    We use our best manners at all times, following the best of examples, Prophet Muhammed (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
  •    We help those in need and share what we have
  •    We are patient and perservere when things do not go as we want them to
  •    We expect the best from ourselves and aim to acheive excellence

We welcome visitors to the school. If you would like to know more, please do get in touch via the contact us page on the website.
